Stroller Recycling FAQs
Why recycle your old or unwanted strollers?
Strollers are often made with a mix of materials like metal, plastic, and fabric, making them difficult to disassemble and recycle through standard municipal programs. Unfortunately, many end up in landfills, where metal can take 50+ years and plastics up to 500 years to decompose, depending on the type. By recycling your strollers, you help divert these materials from landfills, protecting the environment and promoting a circular economy where valuable materials are reused.
What happens to recycled strollers?
When strollers are dropped off for recycling, they’re carefully dismantled to separate components. Metal frames and parts are processed, refined, and reused in new products, while plastic elements are cleaned, shredded, and turned into pellets for manufacturing. Fabric materials are responsibly processed for reuse or disposed of in an eco-friendly manner. This ensures that each part of the stroller is either reused or disposed of responsibly, minimizing environmental impact.
What types of strollers do you recycle?
We accept a wide range of strollers, including single strollers, double strollers, jogging strollers, travel systems, and umbrella strollers.
If your stroller has unique features or materials, feel free to contact us for guidance.
