Bubble car recycling FAQs

Bubble cars, like plastic ride-on toys, are primarily made of durable plastic, which can take hundreds of years to decompose in landfills. These toys often end up as bulky waste, contributing to landfill overflow and environmental pollution. Recycling your bubble car ensures that its materials are recovered and reused, reducing the environmental impact and supporting sustainable practices.

When bubble cars are recycled, they’re broken down into their components. The plastic body is cleaned, shredded, and processed into pellets for manufacturing new products. Metal components, such as axles or screws, are separated, refined, and reused in various applications. By recycling these toys, their materials are diverted from landfills and given a second life.

We accept red and yellow plastic ride-on cars, such as the classic Little Tikes Cozy Coupe and similar models. These must be non-motorized and made entirely of hard plastic—no plush, fabric-covered, or battery-powered vehicles.

For motorized ride-on toys, like Power Wheels, please visit our Power Wheels with Batteries page for more information on recycling those items.

If you’re unsure whether your bubble car qualifies, feel free to reach out to us for guidance.
