Why recycle your old or unwanted Power Wheels ride-on toys?
Battery-powered ride-on toys, like Power Wheels, contain rechargeable batteries and durable plastic components that can be harmful to the environment if not properly recycled. Batteries can leak toxic chemicals, and plastic can take hundreds of years to decompose. Recycling these toys ensures safe handling of the batteries and recovery of materials for reuse, helping to reduce environmental harm and landfill waste.
What happens to recycled Power Wheels and their batteries?
When ride-on toys are recycled, the batteries are removed and processed separately to extract valuable materials like lithium, nickel, and lead, which are repurposed for new batteries or other uses. The plastic components are cleaned, shredded, and turned into pellets for manufacturing. Metal parts are separated, refined, and reused in new products. This comprehensive process ensures that every part of the toy is responsibly managed.
What types of ride-on toys do you recycle?
We only accept Power Wheels brand battery-powered ride-on toys.
We also accept non-motorized kids’ bubble cars, such as the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe (red/yellow models only). For more details, visit our Bubble Car Recycling page.
